Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts
  • Seasoned flour
  • 1 1/2 c chicken broth
  • 1/2 c white wine
  • 1/4 c lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper

Recipe

1

Cook chicken

Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.

Dredge the chicken in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.

Sear chicken. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat.

Sear the chicken breasts on both sides until they are golden brown.

This step is to create a nice crust on the chicken.

2

Create sauce

Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add chicken broth, white wine, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Stir the mixture, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.

Simmer – bring the sauce to a simmer, then return the seared chicken to the skillet.

Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for about 15-20 minutes or until it’s fully cooked, and the sauce has thickened slightly.

Plate the chicken breasts and spoon the flavorful sauce over them.

Garnish with fresh herbs or a slice of lemon if desired.
